Sahar is an Iranian poet and artist based in Switzerland with a rich background in translation and publishing. She has authored several poetry books and has contributed to anthologies of short stories and children's literature. With over a decade of experience as an editor at Dastan Publication House, she has honed her skills in the literary field and has been the recipient of numerous translation grants, including the prestigious Jan Michalski grant in both 2016 and 2021. She has completed her primary and secondary education in her hometown of Tehran. In 1999, she graduated from the Faculty of Foreign Languages at Tehran Azad University with a bachelor's degree. Later, in 2011, she earned her master's degree in linguistics, focusing on Persian language teaching, from Payam Noor University in Tehran.
Her artistic journey has been profoundly shaped by her experiences as a refugee in recent years in Switzerland. Currently, she is engaged in creating Katharsis, her innovative multimedia performance. She is also pursuing her second Master's in university of Basel in English Literature and Middle Eastern Studies.
